CLS Graduate Student Proctorships

The Center for Language Studies now offers Graduate Student Proctorships in the following areas: editorial work, language learning technology, and community engagement and language learning. Participation in these proctorships counts towards the Doctoral Certificate in Language Pedagogy and Academic Engagement (LAPEACE). 

This proctorship offers a unique opportunity for graduate students who are interested in the field of publishing and peer-reviewed publications. This experience with journals and editing widens the proctor’s experience in the academic world and develops additional competencies that will widen his portfolio for various careers in higher education.

The proctorship provides the opportunity to become proficient in multiple technology tools used in language learning and to prepare lessons that integrate technology and second language acquisition.
